Silverline has been working on a brand new album called Lights Out. In this interview I ask the band about the new album, touring and even the Superbowl. Check it out!

(left to right: CC Starns, Luke Torgerson, Ryan Edberg, Nate Langert & Steve Adams)

How did Silverline get started?

Silverline started back with Ryan and Steve playing music in a basement 15 years ago. We are still playing together with new band name, members and music!

Where did the name Silverline come from, and what were some of the other names in the running?

Silverline means last hope when all hope is gone. The other names where goldline, blackline and orangeline. Silverline just felt the best out off all of them : )

What is the main message you would like listeners to get from your music?

Stand up for what you believe in and never give up! God is coming back one day lets make this life count.

Will you introduce us to the members of the band, and tell us what they do?

Ryan Edberg (sing), Steve Adams (guitar), Luke Torgerson (guitar), Nate Langert (base), CC Starns (Drums)

How would you describe Silverline's sound musically, and what are some of your influences?

I love pop rock. I wanted to create a high energy sound with meaning behind it. We group up with DC Talk, Newsboys and Audio A.

So you guys are working on a new album called Lights Out. Where are you at in the recording process for that?

We are finished and it will be out April 9th.

What can listeners expect from Lights Out?

I believe this is or best sound yet! Strong rock album with some worship tracks on it as well.

Is it true that you guys paid for the lights to go out at the Superbowl, just to promote your new album? ;)

I can not tell a lie YES : )

How does your family inspire you not just musically, but also in everyday life?

We could not do this without the support of our families. They are as much a part of this ministry as we are. Its hard to leave your wife and kids to go on the road but I will leave my kids for a few days if I can help someone elses kids and give them hope.

Where is your favorite venue that you have played at?

I love being in other countries!

Has anything embarrassing ever happened to you while on stage?

Embarrassing things always happen to us on stage. The bad thing is it usually one of the guys trying to embarrass you. Nothing like a water bottle on the front of your pants when your walking up on stage.

What is the best piece of advice you've been given?

I always try and listen to people that are older than me and have been through the same thing. We could all save years of time if we listened better.

If you had one day to do anything anywhere, what would you do?

Whatever it would be it would involve my family, some place warm and a snorkel.

Five Random Bonus Questions:

1. What is your favorite Bible verse & why?

Isaiah 1:18 because it gives hope to kids that feel they are to far gone for forgiveness

2. This may sound odd, but what is your favorite scar & how did you get it?

I started a band once : )
