The Royal Royal - The Royalty Review

The Royal Royal released their new album "The Royalty" on  October 16th. Below is my review of the album.

The album starts off with a song called "Love". This song has a fun, upbeat sound with an infectious beat. This song really sets the tone for most of the album. The next song on the album is "Praise Him". With some cool effects and another lively beat, this song is one of my favorites. After that song comes one somewhat similar called "To You". This song entertains listeners with the unique effects and great vocals. Although this song is quite repetitive.

I really love the next song "Heart Beats". Musically it is somewhat repetitive, but i still love it! The lyrics talk about how in God we are alive. The following song "How Wonderful" is a little slower and more church worship sounding. The vocals really shine on this song, and in some parts I can hear a Jon Foreman influence. The next song on the album is called "Saviour". This song is also slower, and as the title suggests it talks about how Jesus is our Saviour.

After that comes a song called "How Long". This song is pretty short, and honestly a little odd. This song just doesn't seem to fit with the previous sound of the album. Bringing back the electronic influence is the song "Life In Your Hands". This song talks about how God makes something out of nothing. The chorus sums that up really well. The next song on the album is "Mighty Hands". This song has a great upbeat worship sound. I also really enjoy listening to the vocals on this song.

Slowing things down a bit is the song "My Salvation". This song has a pleasant sound accompanied with some great lyrics. The following song is called "My Hope". I really like the lyrics in this song, particularly the chorus. Next is a song called "Draw Near". This song has an interesting sound, which I wasn't real sure of at first. However the song has grown on me....

After "Draw Near" comes a song called "October". This song starts off tough sounding and continues with some attitude musically. I absolutely love the beginning of this song, but towards the end it falls off a little for me. I still really enjoyed the song though. Last but not least is the song "Your Voice". This song is another short one and honestly I am not that fond of it. This song just seems like an odd way to end the album.

Overall this album is really good, yet confusing. There are some songs that I simply love and there are others that I am not really a fan of. However the good definitely out weighs the bad and makes for a really good album. I would still recommend this album because with in these 14 tracks are some golden songs! I would give this album 4 stars.
