Everfound - Everfound Album Review

Today brother band Everfound, released their debut self titled album. This is the band's first album since signing with Word Records.

The album starts off with an interesting instrumental called "Pyatigorsk", which is a little odd by its self but played before the song "Go" it really helps to build suspense. Right from the start of this album you can tell that Everfound is a very talented group of guys. When I first heard the vocals at the beginning of "Go" I was surprised by how much the voice sounded like Mike Donehey from Tenth Avenue North. Only right at the beginning was it similar, from there on Everfound blazes a trail with there own sound.

The song "Never Beyond Repair" has a nice sound but it is a little more predictable and radio friendly than some of their other tracks. I love the message of the song though saying that, no matter what you've done you are never too far gone or your not 'beyond repair'. The song "Hallelujah" comes in towards the middle of the album with some electronic dance sounding music, which is a cool change on the album.

I would say that "God Of The Impossible" is probably my personal favorite track on the album! It has a very fun sound that builds with the beat and also the guitar. This song has a sort of an anthemetic feel at the chorus when it sounds like everyone is singing together. It seems very unified. This song would definitely be my pick to see live because I am sure it is even more powerful live than it is on the album. Another stand out track for me was "Take This City". Again I absolutely love the united sound in the chorus, it is fantastic!

This album has a very polished sound. Although there are different musical elements to Everfound's music it still all sounds like them. If you were to hear one of their songs on the radio or in a movie you would still know that it's Everfound. I really appreciate that. I was very impressed by this album, and I can't wait to see how God uses Everfound's music to reach people. I am definitely a fan, and I can't wait to hear more from these guys! I would recommend this album for sure!

I would give this album 4.5 out of 5 stars. A nearly perfect score!
