The tour was named for TFK’s current Top 40 and climbing Active Rock hit and 13th No. 1 Christian single, “War Of Change,” from its independently released, 5-star acclaimed and No. 1 sellingBillboard Hard Rock album, The End Is Where We Begin. TFK’s second Active Rock single from the new album, “War Of Change” not only hit No. 1 on SiriusXM Satellite Radio’s Octane Big-Uns Countdown, but also broke into the top 25 and climbing last week at CIMX (Windsor, Ontario), WJJO (Madison, WI), KAXR (Arkansas City, KS), WKRL (Syracuse, NY), WIIL (Kenosha, WI) and KCXX (Riverside, CA). With KCXX reporting the song as its highest-testing current single, WXQR (Greenville, NC) program director, Tina Smash, exclaims, “I am going to add Thousand Foot Krutch into the ‘Lunar Category!’”
“War Of Change” is also featured on TFK’s first remix EP, Metamorphosiz: The End Remixes, Vol. 1, which released Dec. 4 as an exlusive to digital retailers. The EP features 5 songs in all from The End Is Where We Begin by noted remix geniuses Steve Sidelnyk, Rob Persaud, Robbie Bronnimann, Andy Hunter and Solomon Olds. Spending time at No. 1 on the iTunes Rock Album chart in its first week out, the EP futher sparked ESPN2 to load up “War Of Change,” “We Are” and “Let the Sparks Fly” remix tracks for upcoming placements on its show “First Take,”which is seen Monday through Friday at 10 a.m. ET.
Continuing a string of sports entertainment song placements, The End Is Where We Begin album tracks have already been featured on ESPN (NASCAR, NCAA basketball), EA Sports NHL 2013 video game, WWE (“Over The Limit” pay per view event), L.A. Kings' (NHL) playoff reel (http://ht.ly/aFciK) and as the NFL Tennessee Titans’ 2012-13“kickoff” song.
As the band prepares to release its next remix EP in early 2013, The End Is Where We Begin also continues double-digit sales percentage growth overthe band’s previous best-selling album, Welcome to the Masquerade. Receiving over 1,700, 5-star average customer reviews on iTunes® alone for The End Is Where We Begin, TFK has found that sometimes the best way to move forward is to go back to the basics, taking all of the raw energy and emotion of the past and channeling it into the present.
For those who’ve been following the Ontario, Canada-bred players since their formation in 1997, it’s been a continuously escalating highlight reel that includes best-selling albums, top Active Rock hits (including “War Of Change,” “Let The Sparks Fly,” “Fire It Up,” and “Move”), tours like last summer’s Third Annual Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival, plus a slew of soundtrack slots. In fact, the group has literally infiltrated every facet of pop culture, from ongoing ESPN appearances, to various NASCAR, MLB, NHL, NCAA and NFL airings (including the 2010 Super Bowl), along with the “GI Joe” movie trailer, WGN-TV’s “Smallville” and EA Sports’ NHL 2010 and 2013 video games.
