#1 Dear Diary

So #1 of my Top 5 favorite CD's is Dear Diary by FM Static! I love this CD because it is really encouraging and it sounds kuel too! Dear Diary has a Pop/punk sound and it is also a Concept Album, so the whole CD is one story about a teenager named Aero. Aero moved to a new town and decided to keep a diary of everything, so basically the CD is his diary. I will tell you a little bit about each song, but really the names of the songs describe them pretty good!

The first song  is "Boy Moves To A New Town With Optimistic Outlook" and as the name implies the song is about Aero having a positive attitude about moving.  The second song is called "The Unavoidable Battle Of Feeling On The Outside" and it is about Aero trying to fit in and not getting discouraged. This is one of my favorite songs off the Cd, because it encourages you to be yourself! The third song is "Boy Meets Girl (And Vise Versa)" this is my dads favorite song on the whole Cd because it has a sweet rock sound! This song is about Aero meeting a girl named E.T. A couple of my favorite lines on this song are "The fireworks go off whenever she comes my way" and "Until now I thought that all girls were the same". The fourth song is "Sometimes You Can Forget Who You Are", this song is about knowing who you are and not letting others tear you down. The fifth song is "Man Watcha Doin?" and this song is basically saying that money doesn't buy happiness. The sixth song is "The Voyage Of Beliefs" and Tricia from Superchick also sings in this song! The song is about making God your own and having your own relationship with him. I would have to say that this is my favorite song on the whole Cd, it has great lyrics and I love that Tricia sings on this one because it adds alot to it! The Seventh song is "Her Fathers Song" and its about Aero wanting to be there for E.T. after her dad commits suicide. This song is kinda of a slow and almost sad song because by this point in the Cd you are so wrapped up in the story. The Eighth song is "Take Me As I Am" and in this song Aero is asking God to accept him as he is. One of my favorite lines from this song is "Sometimes you just gotta look closer instead of searching so hard" The ninth song is "Dear God" and this is a slower song that is basically about Aero writing a letter to God. The tenth song or should I say the last song is "The Shindig (Off To College)" and this song is about Aero going to college and celebrating! I hope you enjoyed my first EVER CD review!

Brad Stine

The other night I had the privilege to go see a Christian comedian named Brad Stine! The show was called "The Worlds Largest Baby Shower", because all the proceeds went to a pregnancy resource center! Basically what the pregnancy resource center does is they encourage young women to not have an abortion, and they even pay for ALL of the medical bills, formula and diapers! Speaking of diapers that's what it cost to get into the show, just a pack of diapers!

After going to this event I learned a few things,
1. If you ever go to a Brad Stine show DO NOT sit in the front row! The front row people are his targets!
2. Brad Stine is really down to earth and in my opinion he is doing comedy for the right reason to honor God!
3. Personally I learned that God is trying to tell me something, because within the last two weeks I have heard or read the story in the bible of the Talents found in Matthew 25:14-30, On T.V, I read it on my friends blog, I heard it 2 times on a girls retreat and finally at the Brad Stine show! God is really trying to tell me something I'm not quite sure what it is but I have a couple ideas!

If you ever get a chance to see Brad Stine I recommend that you do! One of my favorite things that he said (other than his jokes)  was "If you only have $20 dollars give it to them (the pregnancy resource center), but if you are loaded then check out my DVDs. When I go home my kids will be standing at the door asking, Daddy did they buy your DVDs?"  (but he said it in like a British accent so it was really funny!)  I just loved how he was like "They need the money more than I do!" Brad also said "I will be back at the table hanging out so if you really want to you can get your picture taken with this goofy looking guy! But remember I am just like you I'm no different, well except that I am funnier than you!" But Brad would also get really deep at times, like he said "If you don't have something to Die for, then you have nothing to Live for! So after going to the show I would have to say that Brad Stine is now my favorite comedian! He also was saying that he is going to make a new DVD and he wants to make it in Michigan! :)

97 Random Thoughts about Life, Love & Relationships Book Review

97 Random Thoughts about Life, Love & Relationships by Justin Lookadoo. (Yes that is really his last name)
Justin wrote this book with some help from his wife Emily Lookadoo, his friend Brooke Wilson and MARK HALL!!!! In 97 Justin takes random things like, Sky Diving, Duct tape, Video Games, The Duck-Billed Platypus, Compassion, Ducks and Dating and he turns them into devotionals. 97 is one of the funniest books I have ever read, and yet there is a bunch of helpful information on growing in your faith.
He takes things like understanding your parents and breaks it down in a funny way. In the one devotional Justin breaks down your parents brain into four color coded easy to understand sections: The Nosey Lobe, The Safety Cortex, The Worry Region and The Myduty Ijustgottaknowa. Justin also talks about things like Facing your Fears, Praying, Using what gifts God has given you, Dating and Growing in your Spiritual Walk. 97 is loaded with a bunch of hilarious stories from Justin's life, you pretty much get to learn from his mistakes so you don't have to make your own. There is even an experiment for you to do on the Big Bang Theory! Basically this book has something for everyone!

I also love the design of 97, almost every page has a picture on it! All of the pages inside of 97 look different, They go from Doodles to The Beach to One that you have to read in the mirror because it is backwards! Also there is a coffee stain on the cover of the book! (well It's fake)  I LOVE this book and recommend it to anyone that enjoys reading! You will laugh and You will cry (well probably just because your laughing so hard)  You can read 97 from front to back or you can skip from page 4 to page 67 if you want! Basically this is a one of a kind book that you will definitely enjoy!
So what are you waiting for?

"Live with NO Regrets" - Justin Lookadoo

This review is my opinion only, check the book out for yourself and let me know what you think!
